Time’s marching on

Time's marching on. We've got 2 weeks to go. I remember writing 5 weeks to go…

Ok we've just done our first run. Half on Wed night in the chapel and half today in rehearsal room. 2 different results. The first run (totalling 1hour and 35 mins) was, in parts, quite brilliant. Saw scenes I haven't seen before because we're working on different stuff all the time. People have really put in the hours. The Fairy scenes and characters are wonderful to watch already. Felt messy with my scenes but a lot of it stuck. Not really worried about the time because it was a rough block-thru (with some real magic and moments) and we've time and space to get it up to speed.

Latest Thrilling Edition

Very quickly got used to working back in the chapel. It’s a wonderful place to work. The accoustics are incredible. The atmosphere is alive. And the smell is amazing!! Like working the Pink Floyd concert in Hyde Park (a bonus of working it is being able to see Pink Floyd AND watch the world cup games.) and finishing off in call centres. How I’ll miss that place…

7 Weeks to go

Welcome to my blog. The director has asked me to write a record of the process for the website and being a man with plenty to say and many opinions I was happy to oblige. I haven't done this before and don't really know how it's going to work. I guess I'll just write when I have something to say. No promises…

The Beginning…

Start of the blog. Less than 7 weeks to go. We have a play. We have a cast. We have a venue. Which happens to be Rosslyn Chapel, as featured in the recent Da Vinci Code film and the subsequent million TV progs rubbishing/glorifying the myths of the best-selling novel by Dan Brown. We'll see what transpires.
